Absolutely! Our Deaf Awareness training is open to everyone, and is especially beneficial for educators, healthcare providers, businesses and sporting clubs seeking to facilitate inclusion. Participants gain valuable insights into the impact of hearing loss, the need for Auslan and the significance of Deaf culture, learning effective communication strategies. They will also understand how to create environments that are more accessible and welcoming for people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Auditory skills training is particularly beneficial for people who are Hard of Hearing or who use hearing aids or cochlear implants. Our training sessions are uniquely designed to be engaging and beneficial for your team. As such, we can hold the training session at a time that is convenient for you which can be during the weekday, weeknights or weekends. Sessions can also be face to face or online and we will provide everything that is needed to run the session effectively, such as technology set up, meeting links and follow-up resources.
Our Auslan training is all about practical, hands-on learning with a focus on useful phrases. We’ll explain how Auslan works as a visual and spatial language in a friendly, interactive style. Through our Deaf role models, you’ll get a good grasp of Deaf culture to make your learning experience well-rounded and genuinely enriching so that you’re signing away in no time! We also provide follow up resources to continue your learning beyond the session.
