Our daily living support encompasses a range of services tailored to assist people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This includes help with personal care, household tasks, and managing appointments. Our goal is to enable our clients to maintain independence with care and confidence in their daily routines.
We actively support involvement in a variety of community activities tailored to the interests and needs of our Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients. This includes support in attending local cultural events, joining special interest groups, or participating in community-based projects. Our team provides not only the necessary interpreting services but also guidance on social interactions and cultural nuances. This approach helps our clients build meaningful social connections and develop essential life skills, enhancing
their overall community engagement and sense of belonging.
We offer tailored support for children and youth who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Our services focus on language development, social skills development and building their confidence to navigate a hearing world as a deaf child with the assistance and supervision of trained Support Workers. We provide advocacy and Deaf awareness training for extra-curricular activities that they may be involved such as gymnastics or footy, and promote the use of Auslan and/or assistive technology to increase accessibility. We offer social events to connect with others through the school holidays and can assist with transport to and from these events.
Our Deaf Mentors help NDIS participants navigate their plans effectively. We assist in connecting with the right services, managing NDIS funding, and ensuring that the support received aligns with their goals and needs.
