What training do your staff undergo?

Our staff undergo specialised training in communication strategies, Auslan proficiency, Deaf culture and accessibility principles. This equips them to effectively support and advocate for our clients who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing across a range of environments. All of our staff also hold valid WWCC, Police Checks and First Aid qualifications.

How do you tailor services to young children?

For young children, our services incorporate play-based learning and developmental approaches, tailored to their age and specific needs. We focus on creating a nurturing and engaging environment to facilitate early learning and communication skills.

Can LIST Services assist with school-related needs?

Yes, we offer support tailored to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing student in their educational setting. This includes liaising with their teachers through attending Student Support Group meetings, contributing to Individual Learning Plans and goal development, conducting Professional Learning sessions for teachers to understand the challenges of learning with a hearing loss and advocacy for the student to receive the supports they need to ensure equitable access to learning.

I’m not sure what I need. Can you help me?

Yes! We specialise in getting to know you, helping you to identify next steps and getting you to where you want to be, no matter your age. Whether you have recently received a diagnosis of hearing loss or are having trouble understanding your NDIS plan, our aim is to provide services that will support you to live a fulfilling and empowered life, no matter what it is that you need help with.
